Reasons for offering this Master Class:
A half day workshop suitable for all those who encounter conflict in professional, managerial, educational, health, mental health and social care settings, based on a theoretical relational understanding from Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT). Explaining and mapping out what is going on can help in situations where interactions are complex - between communities and professional groups and also when people are working together on complex tasks or where dialogue and communication have broken down.

He is Chair of the Association for Cognitive Analytic Therapy (ACAT), a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, a consultant psychiatrist and educational supervisor for Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and a former senior manager in the NHS. He has edited and written numerous books and articles on CAT.

To better deal with conflicts you find in your professional life.
Objectives: by the end of the master class participants will be able to:
- Learn to analyse the conflict from a cognitive analytic perspective
- Notice where the conflict begins
- Map the relational patterns being enacted
