Applications are invited for appointment as a Clinical Lecturer in Endocrinology and Diabetes Mellitus. This four-year post is part of a broad programme to improve academic medical career pathways and is co-ordinated by the NIHR Trainees Coordinating Centre.
Doctors wishing to apply for a NIHR CL must already hold a higher research degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) in a relevant subject area and must be at a minimum level of ST3 and have demonstrable evidence of satisfactory progress in both clinical and academic training.
The Clinical Lectureship post allows the successful candidate to spend 50% of their time in clinical training and 50% of their time undertaking research at the University of Exeter Medical School. Research will be supervised by an appropriately matched senior academic.
