Updated Guidance for Managing PGMDEI Trainees who are Shielding
For Junior Doctors who are Shielding for Medical Reasons – Peer Support Group
If you are a Junior Doctor in the South West (Severn or Peninsula Deaneries) shielding for medical reasons we invite you to join this trainee-led group. The purpose is information sharing & peer support. We will ask for your help in creating sessions tailored to help you through this next stage of the pandemic. You may have previously registered but as the group is re-focussing it’s goals for the year we ask you to re-register here if you wish to continue membership:
https://glos-nhs.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/registration-shielding-trainees-sw-group
This is a short form asking for minimal details and should only take 1 minute to complete. All data given will be held and protected by the SW SuppoRTT group for non-patient facing junior doctors.
Your personal details will not be shared with any other parties including your employer.
Please note you do not need to be on a training program to register – clinical fellows, LEDs all welcome.
This registration will replace that previously completed. If you do not re-register, you will not receive further details of meetings going forward.
For Doctors who are pregnant and/or on parental leave:
In response to the increased anxiety and isolation facing many trainees who are either pregnant or on parental leave across our region, the SuppoRTT and Wellbeing Fellows (Wiz & Rhiannon) invite you to join a monthly virtual coffee morning.
There will be opportunities to ask questions about supported return to training, risk assessment and remote working whilst pregnant and signposting to wellbeing resources.
Most importantly it’s a chance to connect and chat with each other during these uncertain and challenging times.
Babies & toddlers welcome. Drop in, BYO coffee & biscuits!
Feel free to share the details of these sessions with colleagues.
Meetings will be Tuesdays at 10.30am on the following dates:
- 16 March
- 20 April
- 18 May
- 22 June
- 27 July
For further information and to request a zoom link to join the meeting please email: glos.supporttfellow@nhs.net
