Reasons for offering this Master Class:

In a severely cash limited NHS with exponentially increasing service demands innovating and creating new ways of providing healthcare and improving patients safety and treatments is vital. Much is written about how to be creative and innovative and there are many improvement projects being implemented across the NHS. The West of England Academic Health Science Network has helped accelerate the generation and adoption of new innovations and ground breaking practices in healthcare and services in the south west over the last 4 years and this Master Class will give details about these and explore the principles and methodologies that have made these a success.

Speaker details:

Deborah Evans - Managing Director, West of England Academic Health Science Network. Deborah works with the organisations within – and partners outside – of the West of England AHSN to develop the Network and carry out its work. A health service manager for 30 years and a primary care trust chief executive for ten, Deborah has worked in various hospital management and commissioning roles and was previously chief executive of the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Primary Care Trust Cluster. Known as a champion for public health, she has a longstanding commitment to supporting health service research.

Aim of this master class:
