Skilfully Supporting Colleagues (including Trainees)
Aim of Course:
To develop advanced skills for supporting colleagues. These are transferable skills for many areas in medicine
Objectives:
- Describe Counselling and Coaching as contexts for working with others
- Describe the ‘Stages of Change’ model and the concept of ambivalence
- Use skills derived from Motivational Interviewing, principally the OARS model, to work with others to promote change and development
